Today is the day!

I am doneeeee my internship! Freedom- here I come! These past 4 months have been some of the most exciting (sarcasm) of my life. Though I complained (endlessly) and had to physically be pushed out the door to get to work, I acquired some knowledge as to what I do not want to do when I graduate, and I also made a bucket of cashola! So yay! Celebrating getting my life back, by spending the day with (one of) my One and Onlys. Char and I are going shoppppiiinnngggg! Then girly night with some reading, take out and a movie! Woo

Excited for this weekend!!! Sammy's bday on Saturay- and. that's. it! I can't wait!!! I will probably clean and make a deeeeeeelish dinner on Sunday and make a HUGE dent in my bookie so Char can get started on it! Yay for weekends! Then I'm off next week, heading up to the Cot! Can.not. wait!!!!!!

As for GITM... this was concieved out of pure boredom and I hope I can continue to make you lol on a daily basis! Tata and I will have GREAT updates today mostly because I am in a GREAT mood!

Olaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,

It's Thursday afternoon... I can't wait till tomorrow at 3- freeeeeeedom, freeeeeeeeedom, freeeeeeeeeeedom! Lol How should I celebrate? Charlie is all done too, perhaps a joint celebration? I think wine is definitly in order... but I'm getting ahead of myself here, it's only Thursday! Reeeeeeeewind! Another slow day at the office... are you surprised? Cleaned out my computer this am and I'm taking everything home tonight. I'm ready to be free!

Roadtrip with Davey tonight going to visit my Gma in hospital. Her surgery went great and now she wants Ginger Ale and her toes painted... could we be any more alike?! I loveeee a good road trip! They are so fun!!! Windows down, music up, ahhh the joys of an open highway. When you road trip with girls they want top 40 and horrible music to sing to. Parents want the oldies and classic rock. And brothers will take anything that is too loud and VERY annoying. Dave and I don't see eye to on our music tastes. I like a little bit of everything and he likes rap. Rap period. Ok maybe a dash of Hip Hop makes it into the mix but rarely anything else.... but don't worry, I keep a couple sneak attack CDs in the glove compartment for times like these aiiiiiiiyiiiiyiii!

Happy Happy Happy Hump Day!

So I did it! I brought coffee from home- and it's goooooood! Deelish! Morning was going well! Past 100th page of Dragon Tat- I'm in.... I'm obsessed.... I... can't ...stop. I'm still sneaking pages at my desk! Get it, read it, come to Wino Gab to talk about it with us on the 25th of May.

Other than the book this day has been MRAHHHH inducing. We had a meeting with most of the staff in a Lecture Hall. Now I am not a HUGE fan of lectures, but I know that when someone has gone through the trouble to take time out of their day to plan and deliver a presentation, you listen. Unfortunately, many people at my place of employment have not yet learned this lesson. Snoring, talking to their neighbours AND on their CELL PHONES- total disregard. I can't believe it.... I'm so mrrrrrrrah. 2 more days, 2 more days, 2 more days!

Anyhoo, it's lunch time, I have a deeeeeeeeeeelish salad and a need for a break HAHA- yea right. Lots of stuff to blog about today! Check back! Thoughts on the new layout? Fish, title, 1st page only today- I liiiiike. I'm so bloggy.

gLeeeeeeeeeeeee

I thought gLee was amazing last night....but that could also be because I aspire to become Kristen Chenoweth, and lets be honest, I'm pretty damn close! Anyways- gLee was grrrrreat! Loved the Shu/April numbaaas! Their voices sound perfect together! Not enough Puck/ Quinn!!! Need more Puck and more baybeee mama! Also, the whole Kurt thing is heartbreaking... I can't handle it. Sue is hilar as always LOL'd at her 83 times! Sorry about the poor photo quality... it's a screen shot :(

Where in the World is....?

Now at first glance you might think this post is an excuse for me to tell you "ahm schew schmart" or in English "I'm so smart"... but this post is about something different, not that I'm not the smartest person you know. My babes are dispersing all over the world at an incredibly fast rate and I'm not thrilled about it. BUT heyyy they are having the most amazing life experiences, and I love that. And when I am rich I'm going to go and visit every last one of them.

Every time I talk to the Ging lately she's talking about the far off places she is going to explore. I can't stand the thought of her leaving me too, so lately I have been coming up with a VERY good reasons why she shouldn't move away. For example, if she moves up north she is going to become a cat lady.... or if she moves to Texas she has to throw out her crappy sweats (like life and death for her). Now this might seem harsh (going for the jugular so to speak), but it could happen... I'm just sayiiin.... MEOOWWWW Ging, MEOWWWW........

Soooo Wrong

So this young boy- aged 19, named Aaron Johnson, is dating this woman, aged 43, named Sam Taylor Wood. This is soooooo effed. It gets juicer... she's pregnant... with HIS baby! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Charlie and I have been talking about this "item" for a while. It's loco. Lets put it this way. He's a 1st Year and she's hitting her mid life crisis. Could there be a larger gap? Char and I think that's is so redic how the media is treating this as juice and not as WTF?! If the age were reversied- shit would hit the fan. I agree this is fascinating but hay-zuse this is just loco town.

Irony at it's Best

So, I feel HORRIBLE for Sandra Bullock. She got cheated on and has been in hiding for a while now.... well she was in hiding. BAM now she is on the cover of People with a little baby she adopted from New Orleans. Now apparently this adoption was finalized over 3 months ago.... wait WHAT? Her hubby was adopting a black baby while dating/ sleeping with/ cheating on Sandy with a white supremacist? This is too much to handle. Anyways, good for you Sandy! Pour all your love into your little babe- he's cute as all hell!

Helllloooo Loverrrrrssss!

So got Second Cup today (obvi). This whole getting coffee before work thing started because my travel mug died. SO obvi Dave bought me a new mug for my bday (much appreciated) with some deeeelish coffee to make at home. But it's just not the same is it? Seeing as I only have 3 days left of work, I assume this "am treat" is going to come to an end, nevertheless Kris left a thermos at my house on my bday. I washed it and had it all prepped to give it back to her, but she told me I could keep it... forever! Now I know you hear thermos and think lukewarm soup at lunch in grade 2, but this thing is PIIIIMP. It's so pretty. So today, I got the SC in it and the coffee is still going and it's pipin' hot!!! You should all buy one if you love the coff. The sweetest thing about it (other than the girliness and the fact it is still hot 3 hours later) is the fact that the seal is sooo good I can toss it into my bag and nothing leaks. I LOVE IT!

Other than my sweet new thermos (thanks Kris) got to read on the way to work... all I want to do is curl up in my chair and read... hence why Dave and I are jetting away next week to the cottage. You know those days, coffee, read, hammock, swim, read, swim, read, eat, swim, read, sleep. Soooo lazy, but sooo productive! Right now I am sneaking in pages at my desk... and by sneaking I obviously mean blatantly reading and showing no interest in my work.. at all! Yay for rebellion! I'm so BA (bad ass... or badass as Mar likes to say). Loving this book so far! Ann is reading it too so I have someone to love up on it with me! yay for book buddies!

You know when you see a really beautiful cake and you think "how the hell did they do that" OR when you see a horrid cake and think "really? REALLY?". Well this site is just that! And yes that is supposed to be Mickey Mouse. People send in photos of professional cakes that are great or horrible. The editors of this site compile them all into categories so you can compare just how bad (or good) they are! Look through a few pages, you'll get the hang of it and LOVE it!

Business Sexi/ Business Frumpi

Different functions require different dress codes, and we agonize over what to wear to each. Some you may be familiar with include: Black Tie, Semi-Formal, Business Casual, Casual etc... However, as I am entering into the wonderful world of business I have been fortunate (?) enough to discover 2 more; Business Sexi and Business Frumpi.

Business Sexi was a concept spotted by the Posse at a conference in Montreal in late 2009. This dress code (for women) requires typical business casual wear, that is a little bit tighter, little bit lower cut, much shorter skirt (with a gargantuan slit of course) and whole hellofalotta higher heel. You can find these sexi fashionistas shopping at stores such as Le Chateau. The outfit can best be imagined as a halter top suit with platform 6" heels. Accurate depiction here

Business frumpi has been around for decades, but most recently has been brought to my attention by Mary. The 2010 version of BF for women is skater shoes, oversized pants, a cotton t-shirt with either a hoodie, windbreaker or fleece. Other items included in BF wearers closets include numerous ill-fitted wardrobe items, leisure wear and ripped anything, also wearing these with anything.

Now don't get me wrong- I am no fashionista myself, but I believe that it isn't hard to look respectable at work- even on a low cash flow. Here are some words of wisdom I have learned K.I.S. (Keep It Simple) with a hint of flair. Too much flair= Business Sexi, too much K.I.S= Business Frumpi. I know we can't look our best everyday, but please try to stray away from this two REDIC codes.

gLee Tinite!

gLee is on tonight... I'M SO EXCITED! I'm going to have to timeshift but I am staying up until 3AM if that's what it takes! So many people want to be on gLee - Karen (from Will and Grace), Brit Spears, every-freaking-body! But they are all hilarious and therefore I want them on. Esp. Karen! Can you imagine her sassing off Sue- too good to imagine!

ALSO Kristin Chenoweth is coming back on! OMG I loveeee Wicked and I loveeeee KC! Her unique massive high pitched voice just makes me love her! Have you guys seen Wicked? YOU NEED TO! It's fab! I've seen it twice and I'm going to see it again and again until I die.... which hopefully is 30,000 years from now... not literally- ew imagine the wrinkles! Anywayssssss Idina Menzel is ALSO on gLee now (she plays elphaba in Wicked)! Wicked and gLee this is too much! I bet Menzel is going to end up being Rachel's Mom... they look sooo much alike. Book Club?

I love reading! There's nothing like it. I want to start a book club. The poss and I talked about this a little while ago, and now I'm doing it! Anyone interested? Of you are pick up a copy of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo! Now when I say book club, I obvi mean "an excuse to drink copious amounts of wine and gab my face off with my bitches" club. I think I may have more people interested now? Lol.

Anyhoo read this book by sayyy.... May 25th (day after the long weekend... therefor no excuses) and we will have wine and gabs at our place! Bring wine and your thoughts and we will supply the appys. Goooooood Morning,

Firstly, sorry for being MIA this past week. I couldn't bring myself to blog while I was on holiday. On the other hand- I have a ton to blog about today/ this week . Woooohooo

While I was home someone in my office switched out my keyboard. I'm not feeling this AT ALL. All the keys stick so this is taking me waaaaay longer. I am not happy and I am out for blood. Seeing as I have zero authority around here I am going to have to deal with this for this last week I am here. Bahhhh such a perfect start to a Monday haha- typical.

Home was great! Went shopping in the States on the weekend. It's amazing how much cheaper things are there. I love it! Got some "staples" for the wardrobe and a bunch of other stuff too! love love love.

Ran the 5 K!!! It took me 32 minutes- pretty turtley but my goal was under 35 sooo... I DID IT! Now on to 8K! Looking for a training schedule now, going to register for the race either today or tomorrow so I have some motivation to train. Got new shoes too so that's great!

Oh and my Gma (who is like my BFF and is just an amazing lady) is going in for hip surgery this week (Wednesday). Sooo if you believe pray, if you don't think about her please! I know she would really appreciate it! Ahhh gotta love her!

I am going to make up for my absence by a) starting early (check) and b) blogging allll day!

I Love Toronto

I moved here in the Fall and I adore this city! I love (almost) everything about it. I could live here forever! I love the buzz and I love love love all the fun stuff to do! Maddie showed me This site in the fall! It's the perfect guide for someone living in this wonderous citaaay. My favorites are the "best of", which is a list of the top places to go for a certain catgory i.e. "Top Breakfast Spots in TO". I love it! Whenever I am looking for something to do I hit it up for ideas! Check it out!

Facelift!

I gave the blog a little upgrade today! Notice a new header, a prettier background and FISH! Everyone that knows me, knows I want a pet. Charlie and I have been contemplating getting some fish so I thought I would test them out on here. The real animal I want is a Georgian Bay Sporting Dog... schewwww cuteeee! In a few years I will have a puppy... I promise! As for now... Charlie and maybe some fish will have to do!Oh my goodneshhhh schewww cuuuteee

This 12 year old Australian boy got in a knife fight and this was the result! Holy cow... he is sooo lucky! It didn't even go into his skull or eye just went through the skin on the side of his head! Yuck but wow. Story here

Kate Plus 8/ Twist of Kate

Although Kate Gosselin gives me the heebie jeebies I was really lovin' JK+8 before the whole messy divorce happened. This is why I am excited about the news that Kate and her babies are heading back to TV. Their new show is going to be called, the oh so creative new name "Kate Plus Eight". Are you kidding me!?! Couldn't they have come up with a better name? Like "Hater and her 8er..." well not that but something creative. I'm pumped to see the twins be sooo bitchy and Aiden just be soooo cute! Survivor

Ok I know this is SUPER late but hollllaaaay! Survivor was a crazy town episode! The whole episode was kind of blahhh you figured you knew what was going on... and then BAM! Pavarti (said like the cheese) pulls a move out of no where. I see this move as genius on one hand and retarded on the other. Genius as she got one of the heroes out when that was looking impossible, an retarded as she used BOTH of her idols... shes screwed if she gets in trouble again. Anyhoo - pretty unbelievable move! Will Jerry and Sandra feel like they owe P something and stick with her- I HOPE not... Sandra's gotta go with the Heroes- she's just got to!

Also JT, although I love him, deserved what happened. He got played because he played like a TOOL. 2 huge mistakes by the Heroes and ruthless play by the Villains got them here. Heroes 2 dumb mistakes (as sighted by Charlie, and as agreed upon by the entire world):

1. Candice throwing the immunity challenge- WTF sooo lazy

2. JT giving away the idol- idiot.

Book of the Week

I love books and reading and everything! ahhh! I was talking to the Ginger on the weekend and she was telling me about a book called "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". I picked it up in the states and started reading this today on the way to work... no I do not drive. I already love it and I'm only 20 pages in! Has anyone read it? I am so excited to read this! It's a movie too and I am a true believer in book before movie! Book report to follow in a few days?

G'afternoon!

Manic Monday eh? But to be fair the weekend was amahhhzin'! First off- my birthday party was a success! I think I succeeded in staying out of the planning of it- although it was an anxiety producing experience- I did it! lol So many good friends came from all over to hang out! Lor (the ginger) brought her vidicam.... I'm not sure how I feel about it. I love watching videos of other people, but when I watch myself playing MTV cribs the morning after... I may need to reconsider my love. The girl's Christmas party has some horribly embarassing footage, but thankfully nothing like that happened this weekend.

Chel made an amazinnnn cake! Mint choc ice cream, fudge, choc ice cream, fudge, oreos- COULD it posssssssssibly be any more deeeelish? She was pulling off the housewife persona quite well... until she cut through the silicon cake pan- "what a waste of $10" followed by Lor (the ginger) saying "epic hosusewife fail". I love it!

Parcour on the subway, Aero walking home, and seeing 15 people passed out in the living room- HA good times with great amigos!

Yesterday, Dave and I got some breafast with Ann and Adam- delish. Then we went out for Thai for dinner. Obvs I ate waaaaay too much but hey it's 2 days before my birthday. I'm going to try and not use the "hey it's 1 day before my birthday" as an excuse to not work out tonight. We'll see how well that goes over.

Short work week, then home- ayiiii! 5 K this weekend- it's looking good!

I was talking about this video on the weekend. It's soooo good!He is VERY cute and VERY bad ass... don't mess with him. He is 5 and he is a child star. As a former child star I understand the pressure associated with this level of popularity. Fortunatley, my decision to leave the limelight when I did kept me away from a life of sex, drugs and alcohol. My CHOICE to live a quaint, quiet life, has treated me well. If Josh needs some advice or just a shoulder to lean on I'd be glad to give it, he's a star (just like meeeee)!!! Keep it up brotha- you're doing great.

Poor Taylor

Aw my girl T. Swift lost badly last night at the ACA's... and I'm so sad. Carrie Underwood gives her a good run for her money but I was really surprised to see Miranda Lambert win over those two. Ah you may be wondering why I care so much about country music- and in short I hate Much and MTV so I watch CMT- the only station that plays music. I love it! Every time you turn on that it's MUSIC or a show about MUSIC not some slimy little buff kids hanging out in sleezeville or someone trying to become famous. I hate MTV shows... I think I am the only person in the world who does. Now to give you MTV lovers some credit they have GREAT viral vids. You can watch the shows anytime. I watched J.S to see what the fuss was about... but I can't believe ppl make $$ off this shit. Teen mom- this one is ok.. it's SO trash TV but I love it BENTLAAAAAAAY... that's for the ginger.

Everyone I have ever lived with is ob-sesssssssed with MTV- Charlie is no exception (she watches them ALL) and Mar- you're the worst! But still... I manage to love them all the same. I think deep down it stems from my insecurities with my hip side. I need to be more hip but I'm just not with it... SO country it is. Poor Taylor... I love you guuuuuuurl!

2010 Juno Beef

Ok so I've got some beef with the Junos. I'm all for Canadian music- love it, BUT commonnnn! Juno Beefs:

1. Would someone other Michael Bubble PLEASE hire a stylist? I do not consider myself a super fashionista but I could have dressed those Junettes and Junors better than THAT. Sweet Jesus... just horrid. The women outside were wearing soccer mom outfits from 1997.. they may have been the worse.

2. Can you PLEASE show more than 5 awards. I get that they have limited time, but they skimped on all the wrong places. Show more awards pls. Also, when they were announcing the nominees it was like it was on freekin' fast forward... slow it down baybee.

3. Please check your sound equipment BEFORE the show. You couldn't hear ANYTHING it was awful. No one is buying any music after those performances.

The things I loved were Bubble obvs, and how Drake dominated Beiby. Drake is better and hotter and just the best- he was so cute with the little Beiby all night... he even picked him up. You think this is just cute.... but it's Drake dominating everyone and everything that gets in his path. Arrivederci Beiby... maybe next year

Sup Babies!

First off... IT'S FRIDAY!!!! Ahhh it's the greatest day of the working week! Sorry for the lack of posts yesterday, BUT I've decided to make it up by starting this morning at 9, which means I'll have plenty of time to blog all day!

Some of my lovlies and I are running a 5K next weekend and I should have gone for a run last night... instead I ordered Thai with Charlie, watched Survivor (more on that later), and painted my nails- twice lol! Oh well, we'll see if it happens tonight.

I'm so excited for this weekend! My bests are planning a party for meeeeeee! I'm so excited to see my girls, I miss them too much! I also miss my wine... I'm almost as excited to be reunited with a large glass as I am to see my friends. We're going out dancing at a bar that Hair got kicked out of last time. Although this was way back in her "wild single girl" days, I am going to commit to having her kicked out again... this is going to take a lot of wine and a lot of coaxing her on to the table top. She really is filthy deep down... the girl next door persona is just a front. You know how it is. Hopefully I will have a happy update for you on Monday.

It's going to be a GREAT weekend and I can not wait! Shopping tonight, party tomorrow, 300 Sunday- could it POSSIBLY be any better???

Hilarious Site

It seems people enjoy it when I post links to other sites. I'm trying to take this as a compliment, like "ohhh Ash you're so hip, you know all the rad sites" and not as "Ew this GITM site sucks, I like the other ones sooo much better". I'm going to think on the positive side... I'm the best!

Wedding Pictures

So I hear that wedding photos are expensive... and sometimes that cost is excessive, I agree. However if anyone ever suggested a baptism in my wedding dress.. I think I would draw the line. Wednesday I talked about strange pregnancy photos and obviously there are strange... perhaps even stranger wedding photos. This one was posted on AWF yesterday, but for some reason they took it down. I just don't get it. She looks dead. When I get married I am having normal pictures done, and although I love swimming, there will be no pools involved. I also found this site that has a bucket load of funny wedding pics. Check it out!

SNL in the 2000s

This was FANTASTIC! Char and I were laughing so hard! It's such an amazing show that has helped to develop so many actors careers. Fav parts? I loved the focus on 9/11 and how they got back to being funny- it was emotional, yet hilarious. I also loved the part about the women of SNL. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are AM-AZ-INNNNG! I love Baby Mama haha! Finally I looooved the background of Lonely Island. The fact that 3 roomies just started filming "digital shorts" one day and now they are some of the most recognizable funniest ppl in the world. Ay yi yi! They showed the first short they did which was about Laser Cats is so dumb yet HILARIOUS. I obvi also love their others (Lazy Sunday, Single Ladies, Dick in a Box, Jizz in My Pants, I'm on a Boat.. just so you have the links). And there there was the Will Ferrel doing Goulet, this reminds me SO much of high school- can't find a link, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about... ROBERRRRRRRRRT GOULEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT

Survivor Update (spoiler alert)

This show just sucks you right in. Especially this season with the dumbosity. Here are some of my rants and raves.

• Firstly, Courtney needs to go home. Not only is she a poster child for anorexia she is HORRIBLE. She effing twisted her ankle in a mud pit. Is that even possible? Ew she is so skinny it's disgusting. Children watch this show. I wouldn't be surprised if they stepped in and were like "you are gross and you need to go home". All the other girls on that show are tiny too (as a result of the natural loss of muscle and fat from NORMAL sized bodies) and that makes Courtney even nastier. She looks anorexic in a pile of anorexics. ew.
• Secondly, how DUMB at the Heroes? Are you kidding me? They gave the idol away? To Russell? WTF?! Omg I can't even believe it. Dumbest move in the history of the game! It was hilarious watching them at the challenges trying to "support" Russel from his "man eating" tribe. Holy Cow (as Char would say), this is just unbelievable.
  
• And finally the Villians are smart for playing into this "Woman's Alliance" but my GOD Russell why the HELL would you tell them about your idol. I would have kept that shit locked down! They Vils are also idiots for voting off Boston Rob- he is amazing, Coach, and Tyson... are you kidding me?

All in all love the show, merge BETTER not happen... but I think it will next week. BOOO! I'm thinking my #1 is a 3 way tie between Rupcity, Jer and Candice (she's flying under the radar). Thoughts?

Helllooo Lovers,

I'm actually having quite a busy day at work today. I now have an ongoing project to work on and I've been flying around in the Kart all day. Not bad for a day that started off with some shitty burnt Timmie's coffee with NO Roll Up the FREEKING Rim. Highway robbery I tell you!

Speaking of Tim Horton's, last time I was home I had a debate with my Ginger friend Lor about Tim Horton's that are in gas stations. I think it's really strange to buy food at a gas station... there is just something wrong with that. Lor on the other hand couldn't get her head around my aversion to GasHortons. It's just one of those things I don't think should go together. Like one time we were driving up to the cottage and Dave wanted to buy bread at a convenience store rather than the grocery store, because it was slightly more convenient. Uh uh no effing way. It's just not right.

I know some of you may not agree, but I think we all have things that we think are weird and if you really try to emphasize with the other person you will see why they see it that way (which I realize goes both ways). Take Charlie and her belief that flossing should only happen in a bathroom, and if said bathroom is public you must take the floss into the stall. At first I thought it was weird, but now thinking about it... it's pretty effing nasty to think of plaque flying across the room at someone/ something.

Watched Criminal Minds last night in HD. I'm not sure how I feel about HDTV.... I love it for sports (which I watch a TONNE of... not) but with TV shows I just don't think I like it. It's too real... like oh the actors are just actors.... the jury is out on this one.

Bahhh it's Thursday, it looks like its going to rain, and my crappy GasHorton's is wearing off.... yet I am still kickin!

Ola,


Started off today with SC again... I'm so bad but it's sooo good! It's almost like days with coffee go by 3 times as fast. Usually I get to work around 8:30 and stare at my clock till 11:59 when I can legitimately take a break (never mind the fact my job is a break). Coffee days are like WOAH it's already 3?!


Posse dinner last night was GREAT! I've missed the posse and our crazy antics. You know when you have friends that you already feel drunk around and then you throw 3 liters of wine into the mix and it's just great fun? Well think of that on a Mexican themed night with a side of gLee (more on gLee later)! The result is barrel of monkeys! Which until right now I thought was spelled "monkies"... man that is crazy. My mind is blown. Monkeys will never be the same for me.




This morning I thought about cancelling this blog and not doing it, now I realize that my full blogging potential isn't present until after lunch on a full bellayyyy. So blog will be updated after the hour of noon every day (hopefully).


Gossip is flying wild today and I'm thriving, Happy Hump Day!

Boooo to Exams

How annoyingly wonderful is this picture HAHA! This is one of the only times of the year I am soooo happy I am not in school. Exams are life ruiners. How can your professors expect you to study when it is GORGEOUS outside. It really doesn't help when 93% of your friends are plunked down on a couch (which may or may not be on a front lawn), and doing literally nothing. Exams should happen in February when there is nothing better to do. February is the WORST month 100%, so when I am a professor, if I MUST test my students it will be in February, because I know they have nothing better to do and nowhere better to be. Here's a shout out to all my lovelies who are close to death and have current statuses such as "FOL".

How is it POSSIBLE Kate is STILL ON!

I do not understand how this is even possible. Does no one in America see how she gallops around? Even gallop is a bit more elegant than Kate's "dancing". Word on the street is that J. Gosselin is responsible for half of the votes because he wants to keep K. Gosselin away from their children. This of course will give him custody of the kids. In his genius plan he has all of his friends voting the 9 times allowed per single household. Way to go J- now we get to have painfully sit through yet another week of DWTS. DISCLAIMER I don't really watch this garbage, just tune in to see her dance then shut it off. Did you guys see the Jimmy Fallon parody?

A Mild Obsession

OPI nail polish is da shit! I love it so much!This post is mainly for Kris and all you other homepeople out there who have no idea about the geniousness of the OPI enterprise. They name all of their colours amazing things- red is never red... it's "An Affair in Red Square" or "A Oui Bit of Red"(fyi the one I was wearing last night Kathryn). I love love love them. If I had my way I would have all of them... or at least like 100. The new Hong Kong collection is SO NICE! I had "Panda Monium Pink" on my nails and "Suzi Says Feng Shui" on my toesies. Check out their website if you never have because it is so fun! You can "try on" all the colours!!!

I love getting my nails done. The nail place in our building does a great manipedi for $38! Love them! Do you guys care if your nails and toenails aren't the same colour? Some people hate it- me on the other hand- the more colours the merrier. Ooooh remember when it was cool to have "smartie nails" where you would paint each one a different colour? I'm doing it to my toes ASAP.

"Our Little Pumpkin"

I LOVE this site, so look forward to seeing photos from it dailyish! This photo in particular brings me to the debate as to if it is normal to get pregnancy pictures done. I'm on the fence. I think sometimes they can be done tastefully and look ok.... good lighting, appropriate clothing/ props, talented photographer. HOWEVER when you are painting a pumpkin on your baby mama, taking a photo with a shitty camera and poor lighting, is when I do NOT agree. I saw a photo of a pregnant woman once with her husband and it looked quite pornographic- also a no no. Then there is this one where there are 3 other children (not including the fetus) in the photo. All of the children (fetus excluded) are draped with black fabric and it's just plain creepy. Oh oh oh and there's the "hockey mom" which has the boys in hockey equipment and then mom in hockey pants- WTF!

No this picture isn't of the video- but it's maybe what she's thinking about. This video is SO FUNNY. At first you think she is just trying to recreate "David After the Dentist" but then you realize that is not what is going on AT ALL! My personal favorite parts are right at the start when she stares at the cam and then when she is doing the hand motions to the JC song! HAHAHA I'm dying just thinking about it!

gLee

The "L" in gLee today is for LOVE! I effing love that show so much! It was so so so GREAT last night! Puck is hotness and Finn, my god the dark hair looks so good! Loved every single song- Beatles, the Doors, Liooonellllll (they are after Charlie's heart), oh oh oh gotta love this show- it's FAB and that's the bottom line! However... Kathryn and I were discussing how HORRID it would be to have to wear Rachel's wardrobe. The girl can sing, I'll give her that (and I loved her singing Give you Hell) , but my god put away the awful white stockings and hideous shoes! Sorry for the poor picture quality, had to do a screen shot! And I made it small so you don't have to burn your retinas.

Can You Tell What This Is?

I LOVE this site- A Daily Dose of Imagery. It is a guy from Toronto who is a fab photographer and posts a pic each day. They are usually sights from around this amazing city so it makes me love him even more. Some of my faves are his streetcar shots- so great! Today however he posts this... any takers. At first I thought it was a gem inside a diamond, how I have no idea. Now all I can see is the last chip in the bag but it was neat. You can also purchase his art which I am thinking of doing for my apartment next year. The issue is which one to choose?

Posse Does DMB

I did it... I bit the bullet and I got tickets. My enablers (better known as the Posse) encouraged this purchase and I'm so happy about it. June 1st is going to be a GREAT day. It's going to be sunny (we're on the lawn) and it's going to be hot as hades! This is my second Dave concert. The last one was a gift from my Dave and I love love loveeeeeed it! I have a mild obsession with Dave and the boys (aka the band). They are just so damn talented! I really would loooove to hear Dancing Nancies, Grey Street, #41, Jimmi Thing, Grace is Gone... and the list continues! Really anything will be amazing! Eek so excited!

Happy Tuesday!

Firstly I would like to welcome to my blog! My roomie gave me the idea as I have ample time to do this at work (and yes ample is the understatement of the century)!

Today has been a pretty good Tuesday, as far as Tuesdays tend to go. Second Cup started my morning just right. You should know I have now made the full transition to becoming a SC drinker (over Starbucks that is). Some of you may have heard about my breakup with Starbs and for those of you who haven't, basically they lied to me and I won't stand for it. Anyhoo, Charlie has also informed me that SC is the creator of my 2 favorite drinks- London Fog and Vanilla Bean Latte so I mean how can I not love it ANNND they serve flavoured coffee.

I also got to go see a tonne of animals at the Shelter. I will post some picture of the kittenS I am going to bring home... I wish. The deal is- I let Char watch Vampire shows and I can have a cat... this clearly isn't happening. My true loves are obviously dogs but they can't live in an apartment that's just too mean. So I just visited some and cried.

FINALLY gLee is back and I am over the moon about it! Finn is hot but Puck could PIA. Thoughts? Finn or Puck or even Shu? I can't even begin to describe how much I love this show. If you don't watch it- START and if you do- I love you! Posting the necessary gLee docs today.

Posse dinner and a run tonight too so it's going to be a day for the books.

I was dying laughing at the preview in the theater when I saw Date Night with the girls... which is also Fab! Tina Fey is amazing and she looks great! The movie is not believable, BUT I could relate because something like this could/ would definitely happen to me! With that said I would definitely have asked Marky Mark (aka the shirtless hotness) to borrow some runners.... how the hell did she make it through the whole movie in heels!?!?

One of my favorite sites to frequent for a good LOL is Awkward Family Photos. People post family photos from the past that are HILARIOUS! Today I found this gem that depicts a happy family. Usually I agree with the titles of the photos, however this one should really be called "The Water Man" or "Milk man 2.0" instead they have called it "The Delivery" psh not impressed

Oh hai dis is da kitten dat I wantz! But Charlie won't have it... only in exchange for vampiness... which clearly isn't happening in this lifetime. The visit to Toronto Animal Services was good. So sad that there are so many animals that don't have homes. Learned that black cats are the least likely to be adopted but the most likely to make you look slimmer.... food for thought!
